Welcome to the evalued toolkit.
The evalued toolkit is designed to support information services staff in
Higher Education Institutions with the evaluation of electronic information
services (EIS).
The evalued toolkit has information and resources to help you if you are:
- Looking for ways to investigate the impact of EIS
- Interested in investigating your users’ experiences of library services
- Responsible for the strategic development of EIS
- Concerned with operational issues
- Want to develop your own evaluation plan
- Want to learn more about evaluation techniques
- Are looking for ready-to-use questionnaires and other evaluation tools
- Want to design your own survey
- Want to find out what other evaluation activities institutions have carried out
- Would like more support with your evaluation
There are four main sections to the toolkit:
- How to evaluate EIS : information about the evaluation process and common techniques
- EIS evaluation themes : information and tips to help you evaluate particular themes
- Evaluation Tools : a range of tools e.g. questionnaires, interview questions, checklists and statistics for each evaluation theme
- Custom tools: a facility to create your own tools
When browsing under each of these themes use the left hand menu bar to identify specific topics.
You can find more information about how to use the toolkit in the help section
The toolkit has been developed by a research team from evidence base research and evaluation services, based in Library Services at Birmingham CITY University. The development has been funded by the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) through its Fund for Good Management Practice.
